Who Is The Greatest Builder?

He is the creator of heaven and earth, the universe, the humankind, He builds everything..."The greatest builder, the real builder is God"

This article was based on my personal experienced in life (inspired by various Men of God that I’ve met and known, with their teachings, books, writings, and the Bible) to declare that God Himself is the Greatest Builder for my life (how HE rebuilt my destroyed life) by living with purpose and passion. This also describes how to allow God to build our lives most effectively and what steps we need to take for Him to truly be our Architect and Engineer, while being not only a Builder, but a Restorer, a Redeemer, and Preserver of our lives. Our lives are more precious than any other tangible item you can ever think of. I just want people to realize how precious their lives are and how we can allow God to be our Greatest Builder for our very life, to live with passion, purpose, with an eternal hope that only God is able to provide for us.

As we live our daily lives, we are actually building up a structure. The structure we are building is being laid on top of a very firm foundation – Jesus Christ.  We don’t have to worry about the foundation – it is firm. What we do need to concern ourselves with is what and how we build on top of it. As we go through our life’s journey, and we interact with others, as we spend/save/give our money, time and efforts, we should do so with an eternal purpose in mind.  Use your time, your money, your skills and abilities to build up that robust, functional structure that will come out of the fire and floods of life and not be destroyed, but purified and refined.

Frequently, the trials of life descend upon us either through our own lack of character or because of events in our environment. Is our house strong enough to withstand the onslaught of the dreadful events of the end time? Can it even withstand our own weaknesses? As God allows trials to “test the quality of each man’s work.”  Thus we should build a strong and useful structure using suitable materials. Because the materials put in the building will be tested by fire (1 Cor.3:10-13), and the fire will reveal what sort of material it is. This could refer to temptations and hardships. Some will accept and then fall away in time of temptation, trials or hardship (they will be destroyed in the fire that tests them). Others will endure and be faithful. The materials refer to different kinds of Christians. Unlike a real building(engineers can make advance study and design analysis), preachers/teachers cannot know ahead of time what kind of material the people they teach will turn out to be. This can only be determined by the passing of time and ultimately the judgment day. Some people will prove to be weak and unable to stand. They will be destroyed like the parts of a house that burn up in a fire. Others are faithful and strong and will endure, like parts of a house that are not destroyed in a fire. Yet even among these, though all endure (are saved), some are more productive than others.

The wise builder is digging deep and laying the foundation on a rock. The Rock on which we build is Jesus Christ. Christ teaches us the importance of doing as well as hearing. A rock foundation represents true understanding and right action—true conviction and commitment manifested in righteousness. Only in obedience and dedication to a personal relationship with Christ the Rock can we find emotional and spiritual stability—without which even our most dedicated purposes rest on shifting sand.

The foundation is the most fundamental part of a building, upon which all else is built (Mat. 7:24-27). It is possible to build wrongly on a good foundation, but if the foundation is wrong, nothing else can be truly right.  Jesus is the foundation of the church (1 Peter 2:4-5; Eph. 2:20; Isa. 28:16) and that there can be no other foundation. It is entirely right that Jesus should be the foundation, since He is Deity and the Savior who died for the church. He purchased it with His blood (Acts 20:28). Of course, it is not impossible to try to use any other foundation (any other belief). And such would be, not the true foundation, but a false one; and anything built on that foundation could not be the Lord's true church and will be destroyed or falls down. One should take heed how he builds. But it is a comfort to know that, if we are diligent in our work of teaching/sharing the Word of God, then our salvation does not depend on whether or not the people we taught remain faithful (but we can help through continuous intercession for them). The final outcome of any man's salvation is between him and God. If we do our part (God will do the rest), we will be saved no matter whether others whom we taught/shared are or are not saved. One who is in charge of erecting a building knows how important it is to have the proper foundation (ask the engineers). The scriptures further warns that those who build on the foundation must take care how they do so. It is not a matter of putting into the building just whatever one wants. He will later make the point that a man can work properly, yet the part of the building he made may be destroyed and he will still be saved. But this should not be taken to mean it does not matter how one builds. Sometimes the builder's shoddy work is responsible for the fall of the building. This is of especially grave consequence when one is working on the Lord's building, the church. One must be careful to build properly -- i.e. to teach the truth and do so diligently (2 Tim. 4:2-5).

I put Bible scriptures to backed up my insights.

Hebrews 3:4 "For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God."
Luke 14:28 "For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it."
Colossians 3:2 "Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth."
1 Corinthians 3:10-13 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds.  For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work.”
John 14:2  "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
Matthew 16:18  "And I say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades shall not overpower it."
Matthew 6:34 "Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Matthew 7:24-27 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
Deuteronomy 22:8 “When you build a new house, make a parapet around your roof so that you may not bring the guilt of bloodshed on your house if someone falls from the roof.”
Luke 6:47-48 “As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.”
1 Peter 2:4-5 “As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”
Romans 15:20 “It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.”
Ephesians 2:20-22 “Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.”
Isaiah 28:16 So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.”
2 Tim. 4:2-5 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.”

In todays hi-tech world, internet could be our best partner to share the Love of God worldwide.

Now let me ask you, who is the Greatest Builder for your Life?

God bless!
